After School Classes

This was the last week for the Extra-Curricular Specials Classes and Community offered classes. Next week we will have make-ups for those classes that were cancelled during the first trimester. Those classes are: Monday the 16th - Jr. Soccer, Make It Pop, and Minecraft; Tuesday the 17th - Stock Market; Wednesday the 18th - Hindi and Karate; Thursday the 19th - Dance, Chess, Healthy Cooking for 1st-3rd grade; and Friday the 20th - Basketball and Minecraft. The second trimester classes will start the week of November 30. Early bird registration is now closed, but you can still register for classes that have openings.


Immersion Day – Wednesday, November 18

Our community will be involved in service learning on Immersion Day. Ask your child what activities they will be involved in. Thank you in advance to parents & friends who are volunteering their time to help our students.


Holiday Shopping Event – Thursday, November 19

2:00-6:30 pm. Quest Community Room

It is our 3rd Annual Shopping Event benefiting Quest's Auction. Please join us! Featuring easy accessory tips, cooking demos and spa treatments. To schedule a 20 minute spa treatment, contact Bonnie at 847-366-8233.


Featuring: ESBE Designs, Noonday Collections, Princess House, and Willa Skincare.


Proceeds from your shopping are donated back to the auction OR shop and directly donate to the auction.


Lost and Found

During Fall Break (November 23-27) construction renovation is going on in the Quest cafeteria. Not only will the cafeteria have a new look, but our usual location for 'Lost & Found' is moving to a new corner in the cafeteria. ALL the items currently in 'Lost & Found' after November 20th will be distributed to local charity organizations. Please check the current 'Lost & Found' location for any books, clothes, water bottles & miscellaneous items you may be missing. Thank you.


Book Fair – Wednesday, December 2

This year, we are taking pre-orders for holiday desserts offered for purchase through Barnes & Noble. A variety of whole cheesecakes, tarts, pies, and crumbles are available. Each dessert comes pre-sliced and can be frozen, making them very versatile. You can remove a few slices for a family dinner or several slices for dinner guests or a party.


Click here for the order form. The order form is for use by you and/or your child(ren) to collect orders from family and friends. The pricing for each whole dessert is listed. Please return all orders to the front desk NO LATER THAN Friday, November 20th. All desserts may be picked up during the book fair any time between 9am – 9pm. If you cannot make it that day, Barnes & Noble will hold your order(s) for pick up at a later date.


The three children who collect the most orders will each receive a $20 Barnes & Noble gift certificate that they can use during the book fair!

Veteran's Day Ceremony

Wednesday, November 11, we will have a short Veterans' Day Ceremony at 9:45am. Parents welcome to join us. The ceremony will be held on the playground, it will last about 10 minutes. We want to encourage any veterans in our community (parents, grandparents, other relatives) to join us so we can honor them.


ISACS Accreditation Visit

Sunday through Wednesday, Quest will be visited by an accreditation team from the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS). The visiting team consists of educators from other independent school throughout the United States. You will see them on campus visiting classrooms and talking to faculty, staff, trustees, and parents.

Parent Informational Basketball Meeting

Spread the word to your friends and family about our Open House this coming Wednesday! This is an opportunity to meet K-8 teachers and administrators one-on-one and learn more about the admission process. Contact admission@questacademy.org for more information.

Meet Our Alumni Night

Wednesday, October 28, 2015 – 6:30-8:30 pm

This is a great opportunity to hear our alumni speak about the impact of Quest Academy on their continuing education. Our panel will discuss the transition to high school and you will be able to ask the students questions regarding their high school experience. All parents and students are invited. Students from Lake Forest Academy, Lake Zurich High School, St. Viator High School, and Stevenson High School will be on the panel.

Pumpkin Fest!

Come one, come all! Dress to impress, in your best costume wear! This family event will be held on Friday, Oct. 23rd from 6 - 8pm. Features include an all-new Prize Walk, face painting, photo booth, cookie and pumpkin decorating, games, snacks, pizza and more! Entry fee of $6 will be billed to your account if you RSVP via Evite by 10/22/15. Price will be $8 at the door, or FREE for volunteers and toy donors.


While everyone is welcome to bring their own pumpkins and decorations (no carving), the PSA has purchased 100 pumpkins and simple decorations for Pumpkinfest


*Donations! Your new toy donations will help make the Prize Walk a truly memorable experience for the kids! The more toys we collect, the more rounds we can play! Please deposit unused toys in the container in the lobby; attach your name(s) for free entry!


Halloween Celebrations

We will be celebrating our first class parties for Halloween! On Friday, October 30, the entire school will be participating in class parties and a traditional Halloween parade around the mall. The room moms are busy making plans for the parties, so please check your class newsletter blogs for details.

  • Students bring their costumes to school, they will be given time to change into costumes before the parties.
  • Class parties will begin at 2:00 pm.
  • NO masks are allowed at school.
  • Costumes must be appropriate for the youngest in our community so scary, gory costumes and makeup are not allowed. Students may not have masks or items that cover their faces, nor may they carry weapons or items that may be used as a weapon (for example a staff or a hockey stick). Creativity and personal expression is encouraged.
  • All School Parade: From 3:00-3:20 p.m. the middle school will join the lower school for the annual Quest Costume Parade in the shopping center. Parents are invited to view the parade. Students will walk around the shopping center if it is a nice day. Should you have questions, contact your classroom teacher.

Pumpkinfest: Costumes are encouraged but are optional at Pumpkinfest, the guidelines listed above apply to this event. Remember to bring your pumpkins to decorate.

We are looking for Quest Parents that have their own direct selling business for our shopping event, Thursday, November 19th 2:00-6:30.

Individual Piano, Guitar and Flute Lessons

The After School Music Program is continuing to offer 30-minute individual piano, guitar and flute lessons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are two 15-week semesters, September 10, 2015 to January 14, 2016 and January 25, 2016 to May 20, 2016. The cost of the 15 week semester is $405. The fee for students starting after September 10, will be pro-rated. At this time we have lessons available at:

4:45 – 5:15 Guitar with Mr. Joseph Gajewski

Wednesdays:
