Educators from around the country have debated and, no doubt, will continue to debate the definition of giftedness for some time, changing terminology and focus to suit the political climate. At Quest Academy we have consistently defined giftedness as an innate intellectual capacity that affects every aspect of a child’s life. We take delight in the idiosyncrasies that are associated with high intelligence, traits that are sometimes viewed as negative in other educational settings. Quest’s program has been designed specifically for the gifted child, and Quest’s teachers are trained to acknowledge, appreciate, and accommodate the particular skills and traits associated with giftedness.
