BA, Middle Eastern & South Asian Studies, with minors in Linguistics, Hindi and Arabic (Emily speaks seven languages fluently)
Following college, Emily was a Fellow at the Center for Arabic Study Abroad, 2009-2010. She was one of 15 students in Damascus, Syria, out of 50 total students in the program, and selected from over 160 applicants. It was a one-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education to study Arabic language and literature in Damascus. While in Syria, she volunteered with the Environment Friends Society to speak with elementary and middle-school students from the countryside about the critical relationships between the environment, cleanliness, and health.
Emily is currently living in Morocco with her husband and child, while teaching english in Morocco. She is also the founder of Greenlight Editing.
