Last Day of School

All students should be picked up at 12:00 pm, normal dismissal procedure with the pick-up line will be running. We will be having Field Day on the West Campus, students should dress appropriately for the weather.


8th Graduation

While we would love to open the ceremony to everyone, because of space limitations, we can only accommodate people holding tickets. Tickets are given to families of the graduate, faculty, staff, and the Board of Trustees. Thank you for your understanding. Chamber Choir will be singing, they can leave after they sing or can stay to watch the ceremony.


End of Year Reminders

CHROMEBOOKS

We will be collecting 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Chromebooks starting on Wednesday, May 23rd. Please remind students to bring in their Chromebooks and chargers by Wednesday.

If 8th graders want to keep their Chromebooks permanently, they may bring them in on Wednesday and have them de-provisioned. This will allow them access without Quest restrictions.

As far as 8th grade Google accounts, Quest Academy will give the 8th grade students until August 1st, 2018 to download and save any documents, files or email that they would like to save. After August 1st, 2018, their accounts will be deactivated and their drive will be inaccessible.

MEDICATION

If you have any medication at school, please pick up on the last day of school. Any medications left will be discarded.

LOST & FOUND

Take one last look through Lost & Found in the lunchroom, all items left at the end of the year will be donated to charity.

Banner Day Camp

It was a pleasure to lead the pre run stretch at the 4K Knights on the Run in the beginning of the school year! The Banner team and I were grateful for the opportunity to lead yoga stretches with your community and look forward to stretching mind, body and spirit again next fall.


Campers that are attending Banner Day Camp this summer, we are excited that you will be joining us for a "Bannerific" summer!

Volunteer Appreciation Coffee - Tuesday, May 15, 8:30 - 9:30 am


The Administration invites everyone who has volunteered in any capacity for an informal gathering. This is our way of expressing our thanks to those who have generously given time and talent during the year. So please join us for some coffee and refreshments and a chance to catch up with friends before the year ends!


Calling All Young Scientists!


The Quest Academy Science Olympiad competition team is hosting a parent/student informational meeting on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Quest Academy. For the 2018-2019 season, the 6th-8th grade team will be led by head coaches Amanda Davey and Julie Tuten with the support of many individual event coaches from our parent and teaching community. Science Olympiad is a competition team, not an after school club, so the commitment that will be required is intended to support the goals of the team, develop teamwork skills, and extend science knowledge on specific team topics. The meeting will include information about a new format practice schedule, expectations for team participation, exciting ways in which the team will engage with the science learning, and competition plans. Scholastic Bowl Team Won State Championship!

Quest won Scholastic Bowl at State for the 4th time! Coach Groh is so proud of the students. We had four 6th graders, one 7th grader and only one 8th grader!

Our Scholastic Bowl Team went 18-4 for the IESA season and 4-0 today in Peoria to become the IESA Class A State Champions! Those participating at State were Rohan 6th, Elan 6th, Mateo 6th, Brady 6th, Alisa 7th, Captain Brennan 8th, Asst. Coach Zehner and Head Coach Groh


Monty Python's SPAMALOT School Edition – 8th Grade Musical

The 8th grade invites you to their performance of Monty Python's SPAMALOT School Editionon Thursday and Friday, May 10-11. The Knights of the Round Table await your arrival. Tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite, $12.00 each.

State Science Fair Update

Quest had 10 students qualify to attend the Illinois Junior Academy of Science (IJAS) State Exposition. Our student's projects received 3 silver and 7 gold awards. In addition Saanvi and Chris received special awards. Gabriella, Evan, and Hayden won Best in Category. Congratulations to all of our young scientists.


Quest's PSA (Parent-School Association) is looking for new board members for the 2018-19 school year and we'd love to have YOU! If you want to get more involved at Quest Academy, would like to meet more Quest parents & make new friends and/or work with staff & faculty to coordinate community events, this is your chance. The Engraved Brick Program is back to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of our West Campus. We are offering the opportunity to purchase engraved bricks to be added to our Brick Garden for a limited time (until May 7, 2018).

Honor a student, a classmate, a teacher, a grandparent, a graduating 8th grader, etc. by purchasing a brick that will be prominently located on the West Campus. See our website for more details.
