Hiring Update Meeting

This week I met with parents in order to provide a brief update on new hires for next school year. We feel very excited with our candidate pool for both the Middle School Head and Lower School Head positions. Our goal is to solidify these positions on or before May 1 which would allow these individuals to have a say in the selection of our new lower school science and middle school technology positions. We have posted the job descriptions on our website and welcome constructive feedback as we move forward. You should expect that as soon as we make the final decision on any and all vacancies we will immediately send out a notice in this regard as well as give our entire school community the opportunity to meet and greet the new member of our Quest community. I truly thank our parents for both their support and trust in the process. Thank you.

Join Math Army – Grades 5-8

All 5 - 8th grade students are invited to join the Quest Academy Math Army for the Spring season of MAA's Math Madness. Math Madness is an on-line math competition in which teams of middle school students compete against other schools from across the country. Teams are matched primarily on skill level with preference given to common time availability and geographical location. Each match lasts up to 30 minutes and is composed of 7-9 questions based on the AMC 8. During a match, all of the team members play at the same time, but individually against his/her own best score. The team score is determined by averaging the top 5 player scores for the team. After both teams have competed final scores are posted. Whenever possible, teams will play live with students from opposing teams matched as evenly as possible based on past performance and scoring updated in real time.

We will meet Wednesdays March 9 to March 30 or April 6 from 2:45 to 3:45 in Mrs. Howe's room. All you need is your chromebook and a calculator. Play only the weeks you want. Interested students should email Becky Levine at levinejz@sbcglobal.net to join the team.
